Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within a pyramid. Compilation we go through where we can experience peace, joy and serenity in our lives. Maslow stated that people are motivated to achieve certain needs and that some needs take precedence over others. Our most basic need is for physical survival, and this will be the first thing that motivates our behavior. Once that level is fulfilled the next level up is what motivates us, and so on.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs helps codify knowledge of how our brains work and what happens to our state as we move up the Maslow Pyramid of Needs. At the bottom of Maslow’s pyramid is the need for food, shelter and clothing. These are all physical needs. At the top of the pyramid is self-actualization. This is a mental state.
Food, shelter and clothing are all at the bottom of the pyramid and all these physical items require: success, money or power to acquire. You acquire these physical needs by harnessing your mental state. Acquiring success, money and power requires a strategic plan. Knowing how to build a plan that is fail proof is worth its weight in GOLD! Understanding the unique and finer points of goal setting is critical to the success of a fail proof strategic plan.
